Danny took the field at Concord's Dufferin Clark Community Centre alongside 27 special children on the weekend of August 24th for sunny soccer and plenty of smiles.
This inaugural Special Needs Soccer Camp organized by the York Region Soccer Association brought athletes aged 6 to 15 to play and laugh with camp counselors and student volunteers from local youth clubs.
Thanks to the dedication of Go Enterprise's Peter Kovacs and sponsors like Weetabix, Tim Horton's, Panzerotto Pizza and Inaria, the camp activities, participation medallions, refreshments and pizza were free for every camper.
Danny ran drills, signed autographs and gave each youngster the chance to beat him from the spot. His appearance capped a fun-filled weekend for the athletes and set the stage for another exciting camp in 2010!

Kick, Cut, Care Success
Thanks to your support, the Childhood Cancer Foundation's Kick, Cut, Care event was a huge success! With over $40,000 collected by future soccer stars and their parents, the day at Adventure Valley showed that Canadians of all ages have a whole lot of heart. The money raised and hair donated will greatly improve the lives of thousands of children fighting cancer. Thanks once again for showing your true colours and we hope to see you again next year!
