Well guys, i knew it was in the pipeline but did not know it would happen this soon. What’s your thoughts? Is this is a good thing for the club, or do you think this is a backward step. Personally i think this is a great move for the club and shows where we want to go this year. I’ve met the guy a couple of times this year and i know its his hometown, but he spoke about his desire to come and play for TFC which impressed me. Big plus as well is that he is a canadian boy which gives the team added authenticity. Let me know your thoughts
Christmas came early for all of us at TFC nation! congrats to Mo on this signing, job well done. Ricketts, Robbo, DeRo, Guevara in midfield expect some quality passes Danny, goals will come a lot easier. We now have the tools to go to work! can’t wait for the season to start, I would hate to be the visiting team. Welcome home DeRo.
This is a great move for TFC. It will be interesting to see how John Carver lines up the squad and how Amado Guevera and Dwayne De Rosario play together as the attacking midfielders.
Who knows Danny… you may end up with someone to actually lay the ball off to!
Thrilled to have DeRo in T.O. It’s another piece of the puzzle in place and as sad as it is to say good bye to Julius James, we really didn’t have to give up too much to get him. We’ve still got 1st round picks, allocation money and a DP spot to “play” with. Hopefully MoJo & JC can fill a couple more positions where we lack some depth.
Is it March yet???
So stoked to see DeRo take the field in Toronto red. Can’t wait to see how he will fit into JC’s system…So excited for next season already! It’s going to be a long offseason
Awesome news, top class player, will help TFC no end. I’m sure TFC will get more goals with plenty of assists from De Rosario, maybe a candidate for captain?
Danny: Don’t you think this makes TFC a bit attack-heavy? I know it’s always nice to have many arrows in the quiver, but I thought Julius James was quite a strong defender (you would know training with him) and I thought Mo was planning on making the back four stronger this off-season not weaker. I hope he’s now out shopping for a big centre-half. Don’t get me wrong, De-Ro is a great player and belongs in Toronto. He is also supposedly a decent DJ himself. Maybe you and him will get yourselves a residence at a club somewhere!

First Robo agrees to come back for another season giving us the best defensive mid fielder in the MLS and now De Ro comes home giving us one of the best attacking mids in the league.
If we can fill the holes in our back line and add another attacking option (either a striker or a winger) and we’ll have a team that should expect to go deep in the play-offs.

I cant wait for the season. Pass on a huge thank courtesy of all TFC fans to Mo. From what I understand he isnt coming as a DP either, which some suggested and that makes the deal even better!
